Usage and dosage:
Posterior pituitary injection can be injected intramuscularly, subcutaneously or diluted and intravenously dripped. The specific usage and dosage should be in accordance with the doctor’s advice. During the use of posterior pituitary injection, the patient’s clinical manifestations should be closely observed. Once a tendency of hyponatremia occurs, sodium should be supplemented in time, the dosage of posterior pituitary hormone should be reduced or discontinued, and water should be restricted appropriately. If severe hyponatremia occurs, large amounts of sodium supplementation should be avoided in a short period of time to prevent osmotic demyelinating lesions and irreversible mental abnormalities. Induction of labor or induced labor intravenous drip once 2.5 to 5 units, diluted with sodium chloride injection to contain 0.01 units per 1 ml. At the beginning of intravenous drip, the dosage should not exceed 0.001-0.002 units per minute, and increase by 0.001-0.002 units every 15-30 minutes until the uterine contraction reaches a level similar to that of normal delivery; the fastest dosage should not exceed 0.02 units per minute, usually 0.002-0.005 units per minute. Control postpartum bleeding with intravenous drip of 0.02-0.04 units per minute. After the placenta is expelled, 5-10 units can be injected intramuscularly. Respiratory or digestive tract bleeding: 6-12 units at a time. Postpartum uterine bleeding: 3-6 units at a time.
